Forming and Closing Machine for Elbows and Tapers

The PROBEND Forming and Closing machine has been designed in house by VERSADUCT SHEET METAL LTD calling on more than 25 years experience to produce a machine for you in the ductwork industry. Its construction is compact and strong with variable speed drives to both sets of forming wheels.

KEY FEATURES

The Probend combination machine will reduce labour costs by allowing the manufacture flanging and lock seaming to be carried out simultaneously on the one machine. There is no need to change the forming wheels or make lengthy adjustments.

Production on the Probend results in high speed output.

Easy handling combined with instant set up controls makes the Probend ideal for both small batches and production runs.

FLANGING

Prepared segments are quickly and accurately formed into both single and double edge flanges.

The forming wheels are pneumatically adjusted by a foot control leaving the operator free to hand guide the segments.

CLOSING

The pre-flanged segments are assembled and partially crimped by hand to ensure correct alignment and presented onto the two support arms. The guide and forming wheels then completely close the joint resulting in a smooth quality seam.

QUALITY

Fittings will be of a very high standard and quality with seams physically attractive and air tight. They are rigidly constructed with standing seams and all round smooth formed edges.
